Forget the fact that I’m woefully behind on Up All Night. Maya freakin’ Rudolph is one of my lesser spoken lady heroes. First of all, I re-watched Away We Go about 500 times this year. (Exaggeration, but every time, she makes me smile.) Second, her SNL GUEST SPOTS. Third, this lady needs to host SNL. 2012, you hear me? That’s my wish.
Burt: And do you promise that if I die some embarrassing and boring death that you’re gonna tell our daughter that her father was killed by Russian soldiers in this intense hand-to-hand combat in an attempt to save the lives of 850 Chechnyan orphans?

Best Known For: Playing Verona De Tessant in Away We Go, being hilarious on SNL, being the SNL alum I miss the most
I adore Maya Rudolph. She and John Krasinski were the most adorable awkward cute couple in Away We Go. I miss her on SNL, too. She had some of the best characters, and she could always impersonate the celebrities with this quirkiness that I loved. She’s hilarious, and gorgeous, and talented all around. Maya Rudolph made me laugh so much in 2010, so she deserves a spot on my list!
